Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 15 September 2026.

These terms explain how PCB Reborn handles requests for circuit-board diagnosis, repair and rework. Please read them together with the scope, quotation and service details provided for your particular job.

1. Who Provides the Service

PCB Reborn is operated by Shenzhen Weidong Zhixin Technology Co., Ltd (深圳市维动智芯科技有限公司). In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that company. “You” refers to the customer requesting the service.

We accept requests from both individual and business customers. Our work focuses on circuit boards, including fault diagnosis, soldering and rework, component replacement, and localized pad or trace repair. Each request is assessed individually before the work is agreed.

2. Requests, Quotes and Approval

Send clear board photos, the board label or part number, quantity, and fault symptoms or rework instructions. Include previous repair details and any relevant test results or reference information available.

The initial review of your photos and information is free. It helps us identify the next step, but it does not establish every fault, final repairability, the complete test requirements or a final repair price. We typically respond within one business day.

Submitting an inquiry does not, by itself, authorize paid diagnosis or repair. Physical diagnosis is a separate service. Approving diagnosis does not automatically approve the repair proposal that follows.

Repair proceeds after you approve the proposed scope and quotation. The scope identifies the work and applicable checks. Additional diagnostic work, repairs or separately chargeable operations require your approval before they proceed. Tell us about any spending limit, target date or required acceptance checks before the work is agreed.

3. Diagnosis and Repair Charges

For standard fault-diagnosis jobs, the physical diagnostic fee is USD 150 per board, paid before diagnosis begins. It is fully credited toward the approved repair. This is a diagnostic fee, not a fixed price for all repair work. Complex, high-power and multi-board projects are quoted separately.

Defined component replacement, production rework, and pad or trace repair are quoted according to the requested operation. A separate fault-diagnosis charge is not automatically added when that diagnosis is unnecessary. Any additional diagnostic work needs your approval.

If diagnosis has been completed and the board cannot be repaired, or you decline the repair proposal, the diagnostic fee remains chargeable. Repair work that has not been performed is not charged. Cancellation and return arrangements are explained in section 8; covered warranty returns and refunds are addressed separately in section 9. This diagnostic-fee rule does not override the refund for an unsuccessful covered warranty repair described there.

4. Payment

The quotation or written payment instructions identify the amount, currency, payment method and payment schedule for the job. Any deposit, installment or balance-payment requirement must be stated before you agree to the relevant work.

The standard diagnostic fee is payable before diagnosis starts, as described in section 3. Other payment arrangements depend on the quotation agreed for your project. Ask us to clarify any payment instruction or charge that is unclear before paying.

Shipping charges, applicable taxes and any separately payable transaction charges will be identified in the quotation or written arrangements for your confirmation, including whether they are included in the quoted amount or payable separately.

5. Timing

Typical repair takes 7–10 business days after receipt. Day 1 is the next working day after receipt and board identification at our Shenzhen receiving location. Weekends and Chinese public holidays are excluded.

Shipping, customs clearance, waiting for your information or approval, parts delays and requested holds are not included in that period. Fault complexity and test requirements may also extend the schedule. Defined rework and batch jobs are quoted and scheduled separately.

We confirm the estimated timeline for the job and explain delays that affect it. If work pauses, we explain the reason and its expected impact, then provide an updated estimate when work resumes. The typical period is not a guaranteed completion date or a door-to-door delivery estimate. Expedited work must be confirmed for the project.

6. Shipping and Return

Contact us before shipping a board. Wait for the recipient details and shipping instructions confirmed for your request. The office address on our website is not, by itself, an instruction to dispatch a board.

Identify each board and include your contact details and request or quotation reference, if one has been issued. Tell us about previous repairs, removed parts and any accessories you propose to include. Do not send a complete machine, additional assemblies, reference boards or fixtures without prior agreement.

Use suitable static-shielding packaging and cushioning that prevents movement and protects protruding components. Confirm special requirements for heavy assemblies or boards containing batteries before dispatch. If suitable packaging is unavailable, contact us before improvising a substitute.

The shipping method, charges and any insurance or customs arrangements will be agreed with you in writing before dispatch. Ordinary shipping arrangements do not change the specific covered warranty-return costs in section 9. If an item arrives damaged or appears to be missing, retain the packaging and available tracking information and contact us so the circumstances can be reviewed.

7. Checks and Service Limitations

Checks are agreed for the board and the work performed. They may include visual or magnified inspection, continuity checks, component measurements and relevant circuit measurements. Not every job includes every type of check.

Complete functional verification may require the original equipment, loads, peripherals, fixtures, a known-good board, or information that is not available. We explain the work performed and any functions that could not be checked under the available conditions.

Completing the agreed checks on a standalone board does not automatically establish that the complete machine or device is ready for service. System-level verification may still be needed after installation, following the equipment manufacturer's procedures and carried out by qualified personnel.

Tell us before work is agreed if the board performs medical, life-support or other safety-related functions, and identify any required verification. Assessment of a board is not certification of the complete equipment.

Replacing a controller or memory component does not automatically restore its firmware, configuration or calibration data. Programming and data-related work require separate confirmation. Do not assume that a component replacement includes firmware recovery, removal of access protections or guaranteed preservation of stored data.

8. Cancellation and Unrepaired Boards

If diagnosis has not started, you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused diagnostic service fee. Any non-refundable third-party costs must have been disclosed and approved beforehand. Cancellation terms for approved custom parts or separately authorized work are agreed before those costs are incurred.

If diagnosis has been completed and the board cannot be repaired, or you decline the repair proposal, the diagnostic fee remains chargeable. There is no charge for repair work that has not been performed; you pay return shipping. This does not replace the refund and shipping arrangements for covered warranty returns in section 9 or your rights described in section 11.

We explain the findings, any test limitations and the next options before arranging return. Disposal of your board or referral to another service requires your written consent. A lack of response does not authorize disposal or referral.

Contact us promptly if you want to cancel or change work that you have already approved. We will explain the work already performed and the separately approved costs relevant to your request.

9. Warranty and Return Requests

Hardware repairs carry a 90-day warranty covering the same hardware fault addressed by the repair. For international shipments, the warranty starts on the delivery date confirmed by the carrier. For local collection, it starts on the date you collect the board.

If the same covered fault recurs during the warranty period, the repeat repair is provided at no repair charge. You pay the cost of shipping the board to us, and we pay the cost of shipping it back to you. A warranty repair does not restart the original warranty period.

If we confirm that the same covered fault recurred within the 90-day warranty period and it cannot be repaired after the warranty repair attempt, we refund the amount you paid for that repair, including any diagnostic fee credited toward it. We do not deduct that credited diagnostic fee again or charge for the unsuccessful warranty repair. You pay the warranty shipment to us, and we pay the shipment back to you, as above. Shipping charges, taxes and insurance from the original order are not included in this repair-payment refund. This does not limit your rights described in section 11.

Contact us before returning the board. Include the repair reference, symptoms and any available test information, and wait for our return instructions. Tell us whether the symptoms are the same as the original fault and whether anything changed during installation or operation.

A repeated symptom alone does not establish its cause. We review the reported issue and explain the findings. A request to review a warranty concern does not itself authorize additional chargeable work. If a separate, non-covered repair is proposed, it requires your approval before proceeding.

The contractual warranty is separate from any rights or remedies that apply by law. The free repeat-repair arrangement is not stated to be your exclusive remedy. See section 11.

10. Customer Files and Confidentiality

Only send boards, files and software that you own or are authorized to submit for the requested work. Tell us about confidentiality restrictions before sharing sensitive material. If you require a non-disclosure agreement, contact us before sending the information so the requirements can be reviewed.

Provide authorized firmware, backups or programming instructions where they are available and relevant. Any programming or data-related operation needs separate agreement; submitting a file does not authorize unrelated copying, publication or other work.

Handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. Project-specific confidentiality arrangements must be agreed before the relevant information is shared. Referral of your board or request to another service requires your written consent, as described in section 8.

11. Your Rights and Raising a Concern

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your transaction are not removed by these terms or by the contractual warranty.

If you have a concern about the service, contact us with your quotation or repair reference and a description of the issue. Include the information needed to understand the concern, such as the reported fault, relevant dates and available test results. We will review the matter and discuss the next steps with you.

Contacting us does not prevent you from using any remedy or dispute-resolution route available to you under applicable law.

12. Changes and Contact

An updated version of these terms will state its effective date. An update does not, by itself, change the terms already agreed for an existing job. Any proposed change to an existing job's scope, price or other agreed service terms needs to be communicated and agreed with you, subject to applicable law.

For questions about these terms, a quotation or an existing repair, contact PCB Reborn at info@pcbreborn.com or use our Contact page. Please contact us before shipping a board.
